About Our Safety Role:
As a key member of our maintenance, engineering, and industrial services team, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining workplace safety, compliance, and risk management across all projects.
The primary focus is on developing, implementing, and maintaining effective safety policies and procedures aligned with Australian workplace safety laws.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
* Lead and facilitate comprehensive safety training programs, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives for employees and contractors.
* Investigate incidents, near-misses, and workplace hazards, ensuring prompt corrective actions are implemented.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records, reports, and documentation.
* Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and senior leadership to promote a culture of safety excellence.
* Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, mining industry standards, and company policies.
