Aero Refuellers, a division of K & S Freighters, is a leader in the Australian aviation fuels reseller market. The business manages 30 airport fuel sites and delivers bulk fuels across the country. A key component of our work is the support of firefighting aircraft deployed during the summer months across Australia.
The Opportunity
We're offering a rare opportunity to step into a highly specialised division where transport meets aviation leading critical fuel delivery and airport refuelling operations that keep regional aviation moving safely and efficiently.
Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you'll take ownership of a unique, multi-site operation, overseeing both heavy vehicle logistics and live airport refuelling environments. This is a role where compliance, precision and leadership truly matter.
What you'll be responsible for
* You'll lead the day‐to‐day operations across drivers and airport refuellers, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently and to the highest compliance standards.
* Oversee driver operations, ensuring compliance with NHVAS, MASS and fatigue requirements.
* Manage scheduling to maximise efficiency, asset utilisation and service delivery.
* Implement and monitor Safe Driving Plans.
* Oversee airport refuelling teams across multiple sites.
* Build strong relationships with refuelling contractors, Aero Clubs and airport stakeholders.
* Ensure sites are maintained to a high standard safe, compliant and audit‐ready.
* Ensure adherence to all Quality, Safety, Environmental and Accreditation systems.
* Oversee documentation and traceability requirements (including release notes and audits).
* Work closely with Maintenance and Project teams to deliver fleet and site projects.
* Ensure fleet remains compliant and within service parameters.
* Lead, coach and develop your team, ensuring training and compliance is always current.
* Foster a strong safety‐first, team‐oriented culture.
What you'll bring
* You're an experienced operations leader who thrives in structured, compliance‐driven environments and enjoys managing complexity.
* Strong background in transport, logistics or fuel operations.
* Proven experience leading teams in safety‐critical environments.
* Deep understanding of NHVAS and transport regulations.
* Ability to manage multiple sites, stakeholders and priorities.
* Strong commercial mindset with a focus on efficiency and service.
* High attention to detail with a passion for compliance and continuous improvement.
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence across all levels.
