Seeking AOD Counsellor with Compassion and Expertise
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate AOD Counsellor to join our team in Port Hedland, WA. As a valued member of our community services team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality client-centred care and support to individuals and families experiencing AOD issues.
* Deliver individual and group counselling sessions using evidence-based practices and trauma-informed care principles;
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of clients;
* Facilitate community education and awareness programs to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent substance abuse;
* Collaborate with other service providers to ensure coordinated support and optimal outcomes for clients;
* Accurately maintain confidential case notes and reports to inform program development and evaluation;
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Health, Counselling, Social Work or a related field. A minimum of 2 years' experience in an AOD, community, or health service setting is essential. Additionally, you will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, emotional intelligence, and adaptability.

* A competitive hourly rate of $50–$55 per hour based on skills and qualifications;
