The opportunity:
This is a senior medical leadership role, offering a rare opportunity to play a critical part in building and sustaining a service that delivers exceptional community-based care. You’ll lead an adaptive, patient-centred model that recognises and values individual difference, embraces innovation and leverages appropriate resources to ensure a consistently high standard of care delivery.
This permanent appointment can be negotiated within the specialty of the successful applicant and can be part time or full time from EFT to EFT. An adjunct appointment to Monash University may also be available.
The remit:
Co-leading and managing the Adult Hospital in the Home (HITH) Service, this role reports to the Program Director, Monash Health Community. In addition to providing clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care, we’ll seek your contribution to planning for the long-term evolution and growth of the HITH service, including its expanding engagement with and support of other Monash Health services.

About you:
Naturally curious, you enjoy exploring opportunities for innovation to enable better outcomes. You are an astute reader of people, whose engagement ability enables you to readily establish effective, rewarding working relationships. Your passion for leading people is evident and you have already demonstrated success in articulating a vision and bringing your team on a journey. You are a strong advocate for HITH and have recent experience in a HITH service.

What you need:
As one of our Senior Medical Staff, you’ll need:
7. Qualification as a medical practitioner with specialist qualifications and registration, or eligible for registration, as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia in the appropriate discipline
8. Fellowship of a specialty college relevant to the role (for example, Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Australasian College for Emergency Medicine, Royal Australian College of General Practitioners)), including maintenance of CPD and good standing as required by AHPRA for the maintenance of Specialist Registration. Certified copies of the required information must be provided as proof of the above, to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties. All applicants must be awarded Scope of Clinical Practice by the Monash Health Credentialing committee. Information presented for application will be presented to the committee during the selection process, and all appointments are subject to maintenance of SoP within the clinical services capability framework in the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken. This process must be completed prior to offer of employment.
