About the role
Glassons is seeking an experienced Stockroom Manager to join our team. In this full‐time position, you will be responsible for overseeing the day‐to‐day operations of our stockroom, ensuring efficient inventory management and stock control. This is a hands‐on role that will play a crucial part in supporting our retail store and contributing to the overall success of the business.
What you'll be doing
* Manage and supervise the stockroom team, providing leadership, training and development
* Oversee the receiving, processing, and distribution of merchandise according to company policies and procedures
* Maintain accurate inventory records and generate regular stock reports
* Implement effective stock control measures to minimise shrinkage and wastage
* Liaise with the store management team to ensure timely replenishment of stock
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient storage and handling solutions
* Ensure the stockroom environment is well‐organised, clean and adheres to health and safety standards
* Help pick and pack products to prepare and send out online customer orders
What we're looking for
* Minimum 1 year's experience in a stockroom management or warehouse role, preferably within the retail industry
* Strong knowledge of inventory management best practices and warehouse operations
* Excellent organisational and problem‐solving skills with an eye for detail
* Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant digital tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team
* Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work in a fast‐paced environment
* Passion for the retail industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
