Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to manage financial reporting, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The successful candidate will support month-end and year-end closing processes, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements.
* Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
* Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
* Ensure financial reports comply with applicable accounting standards such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
* Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
* Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
* Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations and company financial policies.
* Help with preparing BAS, FBT, Transfer pricing and Income tax returns to ATO and IRD.
* Ensure intercompany reconciliations are done on time by team.
* Manage and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
* Maintain coordination and relationship with shared service team.
* Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
* Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required by the business or assigned by management.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) are preferred.
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial accounting or related roles.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
* Experience with accounting systems such as Oracle and Cargowise will be advantageous.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
