Overview
Pullman Bunker Bay is a 5-star luxury beachside resort located in the Margaret River Region of Western Australia. The resort offers 150 bungalow-style villas, the Other Side of the Moon restaurant and bar, award-winning conference and wedding facilities, and a rejuvenating day spa. While living and working in this picturesque area, you can explore sailing adventures, award-winning wines, and whale watching from Bunker Bay Beach.
This will be a fixed-term role for 12 months.
Purpose
As Reservations Manager, your role is pivotal in shaping exceptional guest experiences from inquiry to arrival. You are the go-to expert for room availability, rates, and the experiences our hotel offers. With your guidance, you will inspire the Reservations team to excel and deliver outstanding customer service. You will also drive revenue strategy execution, collaborating with diverse teams to analyze market trends, spearhead strategic direction, and optimize revenue to enhance financial performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Take the helm and guide the reservations’ day-to-day operations with expertise
- Manage reservations via phone, email, and online platforms, providing guests with accurate information on room availability, rates, and special offers
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel
- Allocate rooms based on guest preferences, availability, and business demands to ensure a comfortable stay
- Safely and securely handle payment transactions, verifying billing details for accuracy
- Assist in resolving guest complaints or issues related to reservations, billing, or room assignments
- Drive revenue management strategy into action, ensuring seamless distribution and precise rate mapping
- Conduct thorough market analysis, update pricing decisions, and maintain awareness of demand
- Foster collaboration with internal teams (Revenue and Business Intelligence, Distribution, Sales) and external partners to streamline inventory management
- Proactively propose adjustments to rate and inventory strategies to foster revenue optimization
- Provide meticulous data entry support, generate comprehensive reports, and contribute to yield meetings to drive strategic decision-making
Skills And Experience
- Experience as a Reservations or Front Office Team Leader, ready to lead and advance in your career
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Proficiency in reservation and property management systems is a plus
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, thrive under pressure, and think quickly to address issues or guest concerns
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile
- Flexible rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Operational experience in hotel Front Office or Reservations
- Understanding of Revenue Management principles in corporate and leisure contexts
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- Familiarity with Sihot, Calumo and Microsoft Excel
