Senior Chartered Structural Engineer (CPEng)
RSA is a well-established, family-owned structural engineering consultancy founded in 1975. We are a recognised and trusted name within the mining, industrial, and construction engineering sectors, particularly across Northwest Australia.
Due to sustained growth, we are seeking a Senior Chartered Structural Engineer (CPEng) to join our Perth-based structural engineering team.
About the Role
This is a senior-level Civil / Structural Engineering position with a strong technical and leadership focus.
The role is primarily office-based in Myaree, with regular site inspections.
Key responsibilities include:
* Structural engineering design and documentation for mining, industrial, commercial, and residential projects
* Civil and structural engineering calculations using first-principles engineering
* Structural remediation assessments, reporting, and temporary works design
* Project management and coordination with clients, contractors, and consultants
* Preparation of engineering reports, specifications, and construction documentation
* Technical leadership and mentoring of graduate and junior structural engineers
* Delivery of practical, cost-effective, and constructible engineering solutions
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a structural engineering design office
* Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or actively working toward chartership
* Must hold current CPEng status or be actively progressing towards chartership
* Engineers Australia–accredited degree in Civil Engineering (Structural)
* Strong background in structural design, analysis, and documentation
* Experience in mining and industrial projects (highly regarded)
* Mining and industrial project experience is preferred and highly valued for this position
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and within a team
* Full Australian working rights
