Solid Waste Supervisor
Veolia ANZ is seeking a Solid Waste Supervisor to join our team based in Spreyton ****. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing vehicle scheduling, logistics support, facility operations, and coordinating controlled waste/quarantine collections while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and performance standards. What you'll be responsible for
Oversee logistics team, supervise daily operations, allocate tasks and drivers efficiently, conduct performance reviews, and troubleshoot operational issues while ensuring budget targets and deadlines are met
Coordinate training and inductions, ensure new drivers are properly trained and documented, facilitate monthly safety meetings, and maintain driver certifications
Manage quarantine and controlled waste operations including collections, disposal documentation, compliance audits, customer liaison, sampling coordination, and disposal applications
Ensure adherence to Workplace Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental requirements per company policy, report unsafe conditions
Prepare reports using Google Suite, monitor divisional expenditure, ensure proper purchasing processes with approved suppliers, maintain fleet coordination with maintenance schedules
What you'll need to be successful
TAS Drivers Licence
Previous relevant industry experience
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Strong time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to work unsupervised
