Job Title:Risk & Policy Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Risk and Policy Advisor to join our team. As a Risk and Policy Advisor, you will play a key role in championing a robust risk culture across our organisation, guiding leaders, shaping effective policies, and ensuring risks are identified, understood, and well managed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and enhance the organisation's Risk Management Framework, including monitoring risks, supporting incident reviews, and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Register.
- Provide expert risk management advice to operational leaders and escape significant risks to senior management.
- Develop, review, and update organisational policies and procedures in line with legislation, standards, and best practice.
- Coordinate the Policy Review Committee and ensure complex regulatory information is translated into clear, accessible documents.
- Support quality, compliance, and continuous improvement activities, including audits, accreditation, and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure policies and processes meet Aged Care, NDIS, WHS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with organisational and legislative obligations.

Requirements:
- 3–5 years' experience in residential aged care in a policy development or risk role (or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and compliance frameworks.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory reform and sector changes within the Australian Aged Care environment.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Proven competence in technical writing and document management.
- Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders.
