Three Bullet Points (For SEEK Search Results)
* Be the Engine Room: Provide vital corporate, finance, and HR backbone support for Justice Reinvestment.

About Us
The Martu Justice Reinvestment Tribal Council (MJRTC) Strategy is a community-defined framework designed to shift the justice system's focus from punitive measures to holistic, culturally grounded approaches. Our vision is simple but profound: Reclaiming power—shifting it from systems that harm, to communities that heal.
Until its formal incorporation, MJRTC is proudly auspiced by the Aboriginal Males Healing Centre (AMHC), an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation leading Pilbara advocacy for justice reinvestment and cultural healing.
About the Role
As the Operations Officer, you will work under the line management of the CEO to serve as the corporate and administrative backbone of the team. This diverse role ensures that as the MJRTC grows, its operational systems remain robust, transparent, culturally grounded, and audit-ready.
You will act behind the scenes as the engine room of the organisation, balancing operational discipline with the flexibility needed to support remote communities.
Key Responsibilities
* HR & Payroll Administration: Manage the HRIS (Employment Hero) and finance systems (Xero) for the core team and casual community employees, handling onboarding and compliance.
* Financial Stewardship: Track expenditure against funding agreements, manage procurement, process invoices, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
* Governance & Secretariat Support: Provide high-quality administrative support to the MJRTC, preparing agendas, minutes, and action logs while maintaining risk and WHS registers.
* Remote Operations & Logistics: Coordinate travel, vehicles, and safety equipment, while supporting on-Country activities with logistics and materials.
About You
You are a grounded, accountable, and self-directed professional who thrives on order, accuracy, and building unbreakable administrative foundations. You understand the realities of working in remote Aboriginal communities and can successfully navigate fast-paced organisational growth without losing attention to detail.
Minimum Experience & Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience in operations, finance, HR, or senior administration. (Experience within an ACCO, NFP, or community-based environment is highly preferred, and equivalent lived expertise or community leadership is welcomed).
* Strong financial tracking skills and the ability to manage HRIS and payroll systems for a small workforce.
* Willingness and ability to undertake periodic travel to Newman and remote Martu communities.
* Current WA Driver's Licence, Working with Children Check (WWCC), and National Police Clearance.
Aboriginality is desirable for this position.
What We Offer
* Base salary: $86,000 - $92,000 plus Superannuation.
* Chance to be part of a transformative, community-led framework that values community voices.
* A supportive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based working environment.
* A flexible, remote-capable working arrangement.
