Job Title: Airport Operations Manager
The Airport Operations Manager is a pivotal role that oversees the day-to-day operations of airport services. This includes managing the safety and compliance standards, stakeholder relationships, workforce management, performance and resource management, audits, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
* Drive, enforce, and manage Safety and Compliance standards in accordance with Airline and Company Standard Operating Procedures.
* Cultivate cohesive relationships with the Airport Authority and Airline Customer stakeholders.
* Oversee the recruitment process, proactively identifying opportunities for growth.
* Manage staff performance and provide objective feedback, guidance, and support.
* Effectively communicate Safety and Compliance updates through regular Toolbox meetings.
* Efficiently plan and schedule daily resources, minimising overtime.
* Oversee regular Airline and Company audits, presenting feedback and results to key stakeholders.
* Prepare safety and incident/accident investigations, generating comprehensive reports.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in Ground Handling Services at an Australian Airport.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in people management, with a strong ability to confidently and effectively manage people.
* A deep understanding of Airport Regulations and Compliance.
* A thorough grasp of Airline Customer expectations regarding Safety and Compliance.
* Ability to meet deadlines, maintain high standards, and pay meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Australian Employee Relations legislation.
* Exceptional leadership qualities, empowering individuals and building effective teams.
* Resilience in overcoming operational and workforce challenges.
