A leading Sunshine Coast firm is seeking a driven Litigation Senior Lawyer to join its growing dispute resolution practice, with a strong focus on building & construction matters.
Working closely with other experienced senior practitioners across construction, litigation and insolvency, this role offers excellent exposure to a diverse mix of contentious matters and the opportunity to build a well-rounded practice.
You will work across a mix of civil litigation and construction disputes, with exposure to:
* Security of payment adjudications and related appeals
* Contractual disputes across residential and commercial projects
* Insolvency-related litigation, including corporate and personal matters
* Court processes including pleadings, interlocutory applications, trials and appeals
This is a hands‐on role with strong file ownership and client interaction from the outset.
About You
* 5+ years' PAE in civil litigation and/or construction law
* Strong working knowledge of UCPR and court processes
* Experience or exposure to Security of Payment legislation (highly regarded)
* Familiarity with Australian Standard and Master Builders/HIA contracts
* Exposure to insolvency or bankruptcy matters (advantageous)
* A proactive, commercially minded approach with strong attention to detail
