The School of Health Sciences at UNSW is expanding its programs in health professional education, shaping the future health workforce in Australia and beyond.
Role Significance
This position contributes to the development and delivery of Exercise Science and/or Exercise Physiology education across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It involves both teaching and research responsibilities, with opportunities for ongoing research and profile building as an independent researcher.
Qualifications and Skills
For Education Focused Role (Level B)
Accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (desirable)
PhD in exercise science, exercise physiology, or related discipline
Experience in teaching exercise courses at undergraduate/postgraduate levels
Experience with educational technologies and online delivery
Ability to integrate evidence-based teaching practices
For Education Focused Role (Level C)
Experience in curriculum development and course design
Proven teaching excellence and professional development
Research funding success and leadership in educational initiatives
For Teaching & Research Role (Level B)
Similar qualifications as above
Research outputs and income aligned with early career researcher standards
For Teaching & Research Role (Level C)
Advanced experience in curriculum design and research leadership
Ability to attract research funding and establish research networks
