About The Position
The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) is a program that supports people who live with a mental health condition to build independence and participate in their community, in a way they choose to. HASI is a recovery-oriented and person-led service, underpinned by recovery principles and values. We strive to walk in partnership with people to find their path to wellness and support them to live a life they value.
We are seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to assist program participants to identify their values and strengths, set goals for the future, and build skills to work towards achieving these. This position delivers practical support with a focus on the development of decision-making skills, social participation, independent living, healthy lifestyle, community access and building self-identity and resilience skills.
Based in our Nowra hub, this is a full-time, fixed term opportunity until 30 June 2026.

We Are Looking For Someone With
* Qualifications (minimum Certificate IV) in mental health, health or a community/social services discipline.
* Demonstrated commitment to working from a recovery orientation, in line with the National Framework for Recovery Oriented Mental Health Services
* Demonstrated capacity to engage with and mentor people to work towards their recovery goals in a structured and planned way
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, and develop positive and effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including program participants, families and carers and other service providers
