Casual Position
About the Role:
Churches of Christ Queensland are currently seeking a casual Cook at our Little Mountain Aged Care Service. This role will see you preparing meals and undertaking basic cooking duties.
About you:
You're looking for a fresh challenge and enjoy using your cooking skills to create meals that nourish, comfort, and bring a sense of home to our elderly residents.
Our ideal candidate:
Essential:
* Strong understanding of safe food hygiene and kitchen safety practices
Current Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
* Valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
Desirable:
* One years' experience as a commercial cook
* Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer
* Undertake basic record keeping (eg number of meals per day, missed meals, fridge/freezer temps maintained)
* Confidence in communicating with supervisor and suppliers

Located on the Sunshine Coast in a peaceful coastal-country setting, Little Mountain Aged Care is a 96-bed residential home offering 24/7 registered nurse support. Our campus includes a café, aquatic centre, salon, and bus for residents' outings. We serve a range of needs - from permanent care to respite, dementia, and palliative care - all within a welcoming, tight-knit community.
