By moving beyond the constraints of traditional general practice, this model gives doctors more time with patients, structured support, and the chance to focus on meaningful health outcomes.
The Role
Based in residential aged care facilities across Umina Beach and Gosford, this role offers an opportunity to practice medicine in a calm, patient-focused environment. You'll work within a close-knit clinical team that includes:
* A Registered Nurse to support you during rounds.
* A consulting Geriatrician for complex case input.
* A proactive admin team that handles scheduling and paperwork.
* An after hours team to support you so when you finish work for the day, you can really finish work
Your day will include regular resident reviews, collaborative care planning, and a mix of acute and chronic care management. This is a unique setting that allows GPs to focus on quality over quantity, with no pressure to push through high volumes.
The Ideal Candidate
You're an experienced General Practitioner who values empathy and connection in your work. You'll ideally bring:
* Current AHPRA registration (with no restrictions).
* Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM, or currently working towards it.
* Must be able to work as a General Practitioner without supervision.
* An interest in aged care or geriatric medicine.
* Strong communication and decision-making skills.
* A collaborative approach to working with care teams.

* $250 per hour for candidates with fellowship.
* $220 per hour for GPs in the fellowship process.
* 8 hours per day, 9am - 5pm.
* 2 days per week available in Umina Beach, and 2 days in Gosford – choose the days that suit you.
