Doctors & Co is an expanding healthcare network supporting a growing portfolio of medical and dental practices across Australia. Our model focuses on building well‐run practices with strong governance, clear operational systems, and a collaborative partnership with clinicians.
As we continue to grow, we are looking to appoint a State Manager for Victoria to oversee the performance, operations, and development of our VIC practices.
This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for ensuring clinics operate efficiently, teams are supported, and systems and standards are consistently implemented across the network.
The State Manager will work closely with the executive team, clinicians, and practice managers to ensure each practice is operating at a high standard both operationally and financially.
The Role
This role will oversee a portfolio of practices across Victoria and will be responsible for supporting clinic teams, improving operational performance, and ensuring strong governance and accountability across the network.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Managing the operational performance of multiple healthcare practices across VIC
* Supporting and mentoring Practice Managers to ensure effective leadership within each clinic
* Implementing operational frameworks, governance structures, and standard operating procedures across the network
* Monitoring financial performance including revenue, costs, and overall practice profitability
* Working closely with clinicians to support efficient workflows and a high standard of patient care
* Identifying operational challenges and implementing practical solutions to improve clinic performance
* Supporting the onboarding and integration of new practices as the network continues to grow
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and operational requirements
* Collaborating with internal departments including HR, finance, marketing, and IT to ensure practices receive the support they need
About You
This role will suit someone who has strong experience in healthcare operations and understands how practices function both clinically and commercially.
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring
* Experience managing multi‐site healthcare practices (medical, dental, or allied health)
* Strong leadership and mentoring skills when working with Practice Managers and clinic teams
* A solid understanding of practice operations, governance, and compliance requirements
* Experience implementing systems, processes, and operational frameworks
* Strong financial awareness and experience monitoring practice performance
* The ability to balance strategic oversight with hands‐on operational support
* Excellent communication and problem‐solving skills
* A proactive and solutions‐focused approach
