About the role

- Manage the administration of farm debt mediation in NSW to ensure the Department complies with its obligations under the Act
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic farm debt mediation policy and procedures for NSW
- Maintain records on farm debt mediation performance and provide high quality monthly and quarterly reporting and sound advice to senior management and leadership teams to inform decision making
- Undertake research and analysis, and liaise with industry stakeholders to identify emerging issues and recommend solutions to resolve problems and mitigate risks within a complex setting
- Prepare high quality briefings submissions and correspondence.

Our programs focus transforming our connections with customers through data and excellence in customer service and delivery of assistance programs through the Rural Assistance Authority.

As a specialist administrator of government financial assistance programs including loans, rebates, grants and other ad hoc funding programs, the Rural Assistance Authority (RAA) plays an active role in contributing to farming and rural policies and provides advice to the Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW. The organisation is governed by the Rural Assistance Act 1989 and is a statutory body under the Government Sector Finance Act 2018 (NSW).
