We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager to join one of our key Defence suppliers leading a team of technicians and operational personnel. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our site runs as smooth as possible and leading the team for accountability, support and training.
As this is a high paced environment, those with a hands‑on attitude and approach to work and support will thrive within this workplace.
Those with previous Management or Maritime Operations management experience, ideally ex‑defence, are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Support in the general running and upkeep of our site.
* Raise suggestions to improve our products and processes.
* Manage team operations, maintenance planning and performance outcomes.
* Training and delivery, systems upkeep and customer management.
* Stakeholder engagement, project delivery and drive key maintenance outcomes.
* Develop long-term partners with preferred suppliers, new and existing
* Lead compliance for quality assurance and product servicing and deployability
* Write up reports following the inspection and tests, submit to the admin team for processing.
Experience, qualifications and skills
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to run a small to medium team with a technical background.
* Strong leadership and team support approach.
* Appetite to deliver work schedule and prioritise customer support and requirements.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
* Willing to travel as and when required.
* Experience working within an operations or maritime environment ideally supporting product delivery and upkeep.
