Join one of Australia's most iconic food manufacturers and lead a high-performing team at our Capalaba site. We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Operations Manager to lead our Capalaba manufacturing site. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of site operations, including production, warehousing, distribution, safety, quality and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 130 employees across production, maintenance and distribution to deliver on-time, high-quality products
- Champion a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
- Drive operational excellence through lean manufacturing, cost control and process optimisation
- Partner with HSE and QA teams to ensure compliance and best-in-class standards
- Support the delivery of new products and commercial initiatives in collaboration with marketing and sales
- Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, succession planning and performance management
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in senior manufacturing leadership roles within FMCG food manufacturing will be highly regarded
- Proven ability to lead large teams and drive cultural and operational change
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, GMP and protected work practices
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
- A passion for continuous improvement and delivering results
