You might think you know a lot about Bupa. You'll know we provide health insurance and aged care services across Australia, and you've probably also seen our dental and optical clinics in your local shopping centres. We also deliver health assessments on behalf of the Australian Government via Bupa Medical Visa Services for people applying to live, work or study in Australia. We're growing our network of Visa Medical Assessment Centres to provide a Bupa experience for visa applicants in the communities where they live. About the role: Our receptionists are the first point of contact for customers in our Visa Medical Assessment Centres and provide information and instructions to help guide customers through the medical assessment process — ensuring they understand what to do and why.
Role and Hours
* Casual receptionist - on an adhoc basis
* Medical centre hours are between 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am – 4:30pm on weekends, so there is an expectation you will be able to work these hours as requested across a rotating roster.
Responsibilities
As part of our professional Reception and Concierge team you will greet customers and ensure their questions and concerns are addressed and resolved with a customer-focused, respectful, caring and professional approach. You will adhere to established processes and procedures to assist customers through the steps of the assessment process, including:
* Conducting an identity and security check and escalating any identified risks
* Processing payments via EFTPOS
* Confirming customer documentation is completed to requirements and processing forms
* Confirming which examinations the customer is required to complete and explaining this to the customer
* Entering required data and information into customer management systems and databases
* Explaining the steps throughout the visa medical examination and ensuring the customer understands the key elements of the visa medical examination process
About You
Our Receptionists come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences. To be successful in the role, you'll need:
* Demonstrated customer focus and a professional, service-orientated and helpful approach
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate and consistent outcomes in a busy and repetitious environment
* Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and staff, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, adapting communication style to meet the needs of the customer and clearly convey information
* Sound IT and computer skills
* The ability to work effectively within a highly structured environment driven by procedure and process, and to adhere to established processes, quality standards and targets
