Job Summary
We are looking for a full- time Human Resources Specialist to join our HR team in the Transport & Logistics industry, assisting in managing around 750 employees across Australia & New Zealand. The successful applicant is a switched on and driven individual who would like to expand their HR generalist knowledge in a large multinational organisation by managing key HR functions such as recruitment, employment relations, policy compliance, training, disciplinary procedures, separations, leave approvals and worker's compensation. HR Specialists act as a trusted point of contact for staff and managers, helping to resolve workplace issues, coordinate training and development initiatives, and maintain accurate HR records.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full separations process, including resignations, terminations, and retirements, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and legislative requirements.
* Oversee visa management for Australia and New Zealand, maintaining accurate records and ensuring adherence to immigration regulations.
* Monitor policy and legislative changes, updating internal policies and supporting management with implementation and compliance.
* Lead training and development initiatives for management and team leaders, strengthening capability across HR processes, performance management, and workplace conduct.
* Facilitate employment relations matters, including discussions related to sexual harassment, bullying, behavioural concerns, policy breaches, and workplace investigations.
* Provide industrial relations advice and consultation to management
* Manage leave entitlements, accruals, submissions, and approvals
* Coordinate recruitment process from advertisement to onboarding
* Manage workers’ compensation matters, assisting with timely notification and return‑to‑work processes.
Requirements
* 1-3 years' experience in similar role
* Bachelor Degree in Human Resources (required)
* Previous experience using HRIS Workday (preferred)
* 4 Days in Office, 1 Day Remote
* Ability to work proactively and efficiently within a team environment as well as autonomously
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
* Strong organisational skills
* Superior communication, both written and verbal
