About Premed Senior College
Premed Senior College is a specialist senior secondary school in Adelaide delivering SACE-accredited accelerated STEM programs for high-achieving students aiming for Medicine, Engineering, Science and Health pathways.
We are expanding our evening accelerated SACE program and are seeking an outstanding Chemistry & Biology teacher to join our academic team.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach SACE Stage 1 & Stage 2 Chemistry and Biology to academically advanced students
* Deliver evening accelerated classes (two evenings per week, until 8:30pm)
* Plan, teach and assess in alignment with SACE Board curriculum and performance standards
* Set and mark assignments, practical reports, tests and examinations
* Maintain accurate academic records and prepare for the SACE Board moderation
* Support students aiming for high ATAR and competitive university pathways
* Contribute to a positive, professional and high-performance academic culture
* Up to 38 hours per week
* Maximum 25 teaching hours per week
* Remaining hours allocated to preparation, marking, assessment etc.
* Two evening classes per week (typically finishing by 8:30pm)
* Current South Australian teacher registration
* Experience teaching SACE Chemistry and/or Biology
* Strong knowledge of SACE curriculum, assessment and moderation
* Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
* Ability to teach high-achieving, motivated students at an accelerated pace
* Strong organisational and communication skills
Highly Desirable
* Experience with high-performing or accelerated students
* Experience preparing students for high ATAR pathways (Medicine, Science, Engineering)
* Familiarity with SACE moderation and external assessment requirements
