We're seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team and help deliver exceptional dining experiences in one of Hamilton Island's most beloved venues. Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you'll lead our front-of-house team and collaborate closely with the kitchen to create seamless, memorable guest moments.

Your Role
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining smooth daily operations and ensuring that every guest receives attentive, high-quality service. You'll oversee the floor team, support service efficiency, and uphold the relaxed yet refined atmosphere that defines the Pool Terrace experience.
Where you'll make an impact
* Deliver and maintain exceptional service standards across all meal periods
* Oversee the buffet presentation and ensure efficient table turnover during peak times
* Lead, train, and support the front-of-house team to deliver warm, intuitive service
* Respond promptly to guest enquiries and feedback, ensuring a positive experience every time
* Identify development opportunities and assist the Restaurant Manager in training initiatives
* Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and service coordination
* Uphold all safety, hygiene, and operational standards
What we're looking for
You're a polished, passionate hospitality professional with experience leading teams in busy, high-volume dining venues. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, remain calm under pressure, and inspire those around you through your energy and professionalism.
To be successful, you'll have:
* Supervisory or management experience in large, fast-paced à la carte or buffet restaurants
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and training skills
* Strong organisational and time management abilities
* A proactive and positive attitude, with great problem-solving skills
* Excellent wine knowledge and a passion for quality dining
* Queensland RSA Certificate (Essential)
* Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
