Ogis Engineering is seeking a hands-on Workshop Foreman to lead daily fabrication output across architectural metalwork. You'll run the floor and execute work in line with customer priorities and the production plan set by the Operations Manager.
What you'll be doing
* Supervise and lead the workshop team across architectural metal fabrication and bespoke metalwork
* Deliver work to customer priorities and the weekly/daily plan provided by the Operations Manager
* Coordinate materials, drawings, tooling, and workflow to keep jobs moving and avoid downtime
* Maintain quality through fit-up checks, weld quality, finish requirements, and rework reduction
* Provide clear direction on the floor, set standards, and keep the team accountable
* Keep the workshop safe, organized, and efficient (housekeeping, storage, handling, equipment care)
* Support occasional site activities when required (e.g., measurements, fit checks, minor adjustments)
What we're looking for
* Proven experience as a Foreman / Leading Hand in metal fabrication
* Strong ability to read drawings and deliver clean, accurate work to spec and finish requirements
* Confident leader who can drive output without compromising quality
* Strong welding/fabrication capability (trade background preferred)
* Aluminum and brass welding/fabrication experience is a strong advantage
* White Card + Driver's license required
* Forklift / EWP tickets highly regarded
