The ideal candidate will have a recognized mechanical trade qualification in light vehicle, heavy duty, or road transport, as well as experience working on mobile equipment. They will also possess the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and have an intermediate understanding of computer systems.
Some of the key responsibilities of the diesel technician role include:
* Maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment including trucks, buses, and generators
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical problems
* Utilizing computerized diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults
* Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements
