Director of Investor Relations - Private Equity
Platinum Pacific Partners is delighted to be exclusively partnering with one of the region’s most active private equity firms. Known for backing ambitious businesses, the firm creates long-term value through hands-on operational expertise and strategic insight. With a disciplined investment approach, it has consistently delivered strong, top-quartile returns for a global investor base that includes leading institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and private wealth clients. Its track record and impact have been recognised through multiple industry awards.
About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Investor Relations to join the firm’s Sydney office. This is a broad, high-impact position responsible for managing institutional client relationships and supporting fundraising efforts across this channel. The role engages with a diverse investor base – including some of the world’s largest institutions and sovereign wealth funds – and represents all of the firm’s strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a small team, with responsibility for managing and strengthening institutional client relationships
* Oversee all institutional client engagements, including bulk communications, quarterly reporting calls, international conferences, deal team roadshows, and LPAC meetings
* Manage and deliver major institutional events, such as the annual AGM
* Provide proactive, end-to-end client service across the institutional base, including marketing, due diligence coordination, and investment administration
* Act as a key liaison between investors and internal stakeholders, including deal teams, legal, and finance
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a Sydney-based professional who brings:
* Experience in a comparable investor relations role, possibly from a background in relationship management or client service
* A sound understanding of financial markets; private equity exposure is advantageous but not essential
* A demonstrated track record of managing institutional client relationships and engaging confidently with sophisticated investors
* The ability to manage multiple priorities across teams and projects within a fast-paced, high-performance environment
* Maturity, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal presence, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the firm
* A collaborative leadership style and a passion for developing and motivating others
Please note: While this is an investor-facing role, it is not a capital raising position. We are seeking someone energised by the opportunity to support the institutional fundraising process and passionate about investor engagement, coordination, and relationship management.
