A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Engineer to join our Energy team at UON's Malaga Facility.
You will be responsible for:
* Support Project Managers and Energy Project Coordinators to deliver projects safely, on time, and within scope, budget, and quality requirements.
* Provide electrical engineering support across the full project lifecycle for power stations and electrical infrastructure, from design through to commissioning.
* Design, integrate, test, and commission electrical power systems, protection schemes, and control systems, ensuring compliance and long-term maintainability.
* Prepare and review core engineering deliverables including design drawings, calculations, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
* Ensure compliance with Client specifications, Australian Standards, and regulatory requirements.
* Support tenders and project estimates through technical input and cost support.
* Provide engineering support to control system upgrades, renewable energy projects, interconnector upgrades, and power station improvements.
* Undertake site inspections and support electrical construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
* Review contractor workmanship, manage non-conformances, and maintain safety and quality standards.
* Provide technical support during procurement, FAT, SAT, commissioning phases and operation period.
* Identify and resolve technical issues and project risks in a practical, solutions-focused manner.
* Apply Safety in Design principles and uphold company values, safety, and professional standards.
To be successful in this role you must possess the following key requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience (construction experience desirable).
* Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
* Sound understanding of WHS principles and safe work practices.
