Our successful, Company is currently searching for your talents. We are looking to employ a valued member of staff for the long term. We are situated in Redcliffe, Queensland and are a manufacturer of Domestic and Commercial Joinery Cabinet Making, Shop fitting, Stone Fabrication, Steel Fabrication and Painted Speciality Timber Joinery.
Responsibility
* Perform layout, cutting, forming, fitting and welding of structural steel, plate, pipe and other metal components according to specifications
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and work orders to determine project requirements
* Operate specialised equipment and tools such as cutting torches, grinders, welding machines and hydraulic presses
* Ensure all work is completed to strict quality and safety standards
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes
* Collaborate with the wider team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget
Skill and Experence
* Formal trade qualification in Boiler Making or Fabrication
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Boiler Maker / Fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing or workshop environment
* Proficient in operating a range of welding equipment and techniques including MIG, TIG and Stick welding
* Strong knowledge of metal properties, fabrication methods and quality control processes
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
