The Role
The Business Systems Application Developer is responsible for the development of IT solutions to requirement, compliant with development standards. This includes technical design, development, integration, testing, deployment and build processes. The role is responsible for technical documentation for all developed solutions and in code documentation for maintainability. The Business Systems Application Developer assists the IT Development Manager in identifying issues and designing, developing and testing resolutions. The role also advises on opportunities to streamline current application/extension solutions. Required for Job Ad, not for PD:
You Will Provide
* Design, develop, test and deploy high‐quality applications aligned to business requirements
* Deliver end‐to‐end solutions across integration, cloud and mobile platforms
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including escalation
* Maintain clear technical and in‐code documentation for all solutions
* Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance existing systems
* Collaborate across teams to deliver scalable and efficient outcomes
* Apply governance and best practice development standards

About You
* Strong hands‐on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core / .NET 6+)
* Solid SQL skills, including stored procedures, indexing, and query optimisation
* Experience working with Azure, especially Azure Functions and cloud integrations
* Self‐sufficient and able to investigate unfamiliar codebases independently
* Comfortable handling escalated issues and complex troubleshooting
* Knowledge of EDIFACT messaging standards is a bonus but not essential
* Familiarity with .NET MAUI or Xamarin. Forms is a plus
