Axis Laser is a privately owned and operated laser cutting and bending business based in Henderson WA. We utilise the latest fibre laser and automation technology to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions that support local manufacturing.
With the recent addition of a new 15kW Bystronic fibre laser, we are expanding our production capacity and seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join our team on the afternoon shift (2:00pm to 10:00pm + overtime as required).
This is a hands-on role offering an immediate start within a fast-paced, modern manufacturing environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating Bystronic fibre laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality components in line with production schedules and customer requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating Bystronic fibre laser cutting machines
* Loading/unloading material and managing sheet stock
* Interpreting drawings and job specifications
* Performing machine setup and adjustments
* Monitoring cut quality and ensuring accuracy to specification
* Conducting routine maintenance and housekeeping of equipment
* Working closely with programming and production teams
* Adhering to HSEQ requirements and safe work practices
About You
* Proven experience operating Bystronic fibre laser machines (essential)
* Experience in metal manufacturing or fabrication environments
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
* Current LF - Forklift truck licence required
