Your New Role
An established and highly respected community services provider is seeking a Remote Operations Manager to lead a diverse portfolio of programs across North West Queensland. This is a key leadership role, overseeing a broad range of services designed to strengthen wellbeing, resilience, and social outcomes for children, families, and communities.
Based in Mount Isa, this role requires a resilient and adaptable leader who can balance operational management with strategic contribution, while ensuring high standards of service delivery and governance compliance across multiple program areas.
Key Responsibilities
Provide operational leadership for a portfolio that includes community, family, youth, education, and homelessness support programs. Lead, mentor, and support staff across multiple sites, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services. Ensure compliance with funding requirements, quality frameworks, and organisational governance standards. Partner with the Executive Team to drive strategic initiatives and contribute to organisation-wide planning. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with government agencies, community partners, and funding bodies. Oversee continuous improvement, data management, and outcome measurement across services.
What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will be an experienced human services leader with:
A Bachelor-level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline (post-graduate qualifications highly regarded).At least 5 years of leadership experience within community services, human services, or a related statutory sector.Demonstrated capacity to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex service portfolios.Robust governance knowledge and a commitment to best practice service delivery.High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships.Flexibility to travel across rural and remote communities, including overnight stays.Relevant clearances (Working with Children, Disability Worker Screening) and current First Aid/CPR.
