About the Role:
Flinders University's College of Science and Engineering is seeking a motivated academic to join the Computing and Mathematical Sciences discipline as an Associate Lecturer/Lecturer in Human Computer Interaction and User Experience (HCI/UX). This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality teaching and research in the broad computing discipline, with a specific focus on Human Computer Interaction and User Experience.
In this position, you will:
* Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality teaching, curriculum develop, topic coordination and accreditation across computing topics using contemporary, multi-mode teaching approaches.
* Undertake ethical, high-quality research aligned with critical technologies, including quality publications and external grant activity.
* Supervise honours and higher degree research students (commensurate with career stage).
* Actively participate in internal and external quality assurance and accreditation processes.
This position is open to interstate candidates and relocation support is available.
About You:
You are an emerging or established academic with expertise in Human Computer Interaction and/or User Experience, a strong commitment to student-centred teaching, and a developing or established research profile. You are student-focused, research-active and able to work collaboratively across disciplines and with external stakeholders.
You will also demonstrate:
* Completion of a relevant postgraduate qualification (or near completion of a PhD for Level A) in computing or a related discipline with relevance to HCI and/or UX.
* Evidence of, or capacity to deliver, high-quality tertiary teaching across engineering areas relevant to critical technologies.
* A developing (Level A) or established (Level B) research track record appropriate to career stage, including quality publications and competitive grant activity.
