ServiceNow Engineer - 3 Months Contract - Perth
Your new company
You will be joining a major WA State Government department focused on uplifting digital services and improving workflow automation across critical operational areas. This organisation values strong technical expertise, clear communication, and a practical approach to solution design. As part of upcoming project planning, they are seeking high‑level rate estimates to support board-level costing and approval processes.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of advanced ServiceNow catalogue items, UI policy actions, low-code flow automation, and data/table architecture. You will work closely with business units to interpret requirements and translate them into high‑quality ServiceNow solutions.
A central part of the engagement will be a technical assessment during the interview. You will receive a mock business requirement document, which you will analyse and deliver a working design/solution for. Your success in this process will be weighted 80% on technical ability-covering interpretation, analysis, fault-finding and solution development-and 20% on soft skills such as communication, engagement, and clarity.
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring deep expertise in ServiceNow development, including catalogue configuration, UI policies, Flow Designer automation and table/data modelling. You will need a strong ability to interpret complex requirements, troubleshoot issues logically, and design scalable solutions. Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently discuss your design decisions during the assessment are essential.
