The Role
This is a key opportunity for an experienced commercial and sales leader to guide MRA's next phase of growth. As Head of Sales & Commercial Management, you will oversee commercial strategy, proposals, tenders, pricing, revenue forecasting and pipeline performance across engineering and software.
Your leadership will free the Directors to focus on enterprise partnerships and strategic expansion, while you build scalable commercial frameworks, uplift governance and strengthen client value.
You will ensure commercial commitments align with delivery capability, protect margins and support the continued growth of both the services and Axo33 product lines.
Commercial Leadership Scope
* Commercial Strategy & Governance – Lead commercial frameworks across engineering and software, oversee contracts and tenders, mitigate commercial risk and monitor pipeline performance.
* Sales Leadership & Growth – Manage high-value opportunities, refine value propositions, shape go-to-market strategies and drive pipeline expansion across engineering services, licensing and software.
* Corporate & Enterprise Sales – Build scalable commercial models for national and multi-site clients, strengthening long-term enterprise partnerships.
* Software Commercialisation – Grow Axo33 through licensing, renewals, demos, ROI modelling and scalable SaaS/engineering sales processes.
* Channel Partnerships – Develop and manage reseller programs, technology alliances and system-integrator partnerships to widen market reach.
* Cross-Functional Alignment – Work closely with engineering, finance, product and delivery teams to ensure commercial accuracy, protect scope and maintain profitability.
About You
* Experience in sales, commercial leadership or business management within engineering, technology or software
* Strong commercial acumen across pricing, tendering, proposals and negotiation
* Experience managing pipelines and accurate forecasting
* Understanding of engineering project delivery and commercial risk
* Confidence building relationships at executive and operational levels
* Proficiency with CRM and commercial modelling tools
Experience in mining, ports, automation, robotics, SaaS or heavy industry is highly regarded.
