As a Graduate Accountant at Jacob Toyota, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations and strategic growth of our dynamic automotive dealership.
In this full-time position based in Wodonga, VIC, you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and develop hands-on experience in all facets of accounting and financial reporting.
You will report directly to the Financial Controller.
What you'll be doing
Aid in reconciling accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Assist in preparing financial reports, including financial statements and budget performance reports
Assist with audits, budget preparation, and other financial tasks
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc accounting projects and tasks
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) are desirable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Availability to occasionally visit other business locations
