The Role
We seek a versatile and well-organised team player to provide high-level geotechnical services. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will support professional staff and drilling operations based in Sydney or Bathurst.
* Commitment to safety and compliance with all WHS requirements is essential.
* Preparation of tenders, safety documentation and technical reports is required.
* Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards and AUSTROADS pavement design guides is necessary.
* Manage teams through stages of geotechnical investigation and construction phase services.
* Mentoring and management of junior staff and drillers is also required.
* Attend site to carry out field work as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Uphold and adhere to quality and safety standards.
* Organise teams and resources for investigations and construction phases.
* Collate and review information, submit samples to laboratories, analyse and report.
* Liaise with clients, key external and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or Geology.
* At least 8 years' experience in a similar role.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).
* Working knowledge of NSW and QLD and national legislative requirements.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
* Problem-solving skills and ability to schedule works.
