The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales & Business Development (NSW/ACT) to join our Marketing & Growth team in Sydney. Reporting to the Corporates, Practice Indemnity Insurance & Brokers Manager, this role works both independently and collaboratively with senior leaders, cross‐functional teams, and operational peers to deliver meaningful outcomes for the organisation.
This position will be primarily involved in growing Miga's business to meet agreed growth targets of Practice Insurance in NSW & ACT.
Key Responsibilities
* Developing and implementing a territory plan to generate new business through frequent in‐person customer visits and consistent on‐the‐road prospecting to maximise sales opportunities
* Prospecting and qualifying opportunities, managing the up‐to‐date sales pipeline within CRM, and deploying strategies to convert leads
* Ensuring targets for growth and goals for contact activity are met for all key areas of responsibility
* Manage and quote insurance enquiries and prospective clients within required service standards
* Providing back‐up support to Business Development team members in NSW/ACT and other states
* Leverage marketing strategies and campaigns and run in‐practice promotional/educational activity during visits.
* Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and practice events as required
What we're looking for
Success in this role comes from strong collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. We're seeking someone who brings:
* Strong Business Development experience and demonstrated ability to manage and execute a structured territory plan that ensures consistent on‐the‐road prospecting and coverage of key prospects.
* Proven sales experience linking Key Performance Indicators to Goals and Targets
* Demonstrated experience in implementing and reporting on successful sales strategies
* Experience in new business generation and a confident ability in delivery of presentations
Although not essential, it is desirable if you have:
* Sales experience within the healthcare, pharmaceutical industry or similar industries.
* Experience in medical indemnity or professional indemnity insurance
* Hold or maintain Tier 2 education level as per ASIC PS 146 Licensing: Training of financial product advisors.
* Experience managing an active sales pipeline using Salesforce CRM or similar platforms, including accurate activity logging, forecasting, and opportunity tracking
