Your new company

Your new role
As the EL1 Financial Reporting Analyst, you will lead strategic analysis and provide expert advice on the refinement of key government financial reporting frameworks. You will review and modernise data collections and reporting definitions to ensure they capture accurate, fit-for-purpose financial information that supports evolving policy and program needs, while also improving efficiency for providers.
Working within a small, collaborative team, you will design and implement improvements to reporting structures, including the development of a multi-dimensional chart of accounts to support the flow of data through departmental systems. You will prepare high-quality briefing materials for senior executives, coordinate consultation across internal and external stakeholders, and guide the development of resources, templates and guidance materials.

What you'll need to succeed
You will bring strong technical accounting capability, expertise in financial reporting, and the ability to analyse complex financial datasets. You will hold a CPA, CA or a relevant accounting/finance qualification, with experience in regulatory, government or sector-wide reporting.
You will also demonstrate:
Deep technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
The ability to deliver clear, succinct analysis and advice to senior audiences.
High-level judgement, critical thinking and the ability to work under limited direction.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
