With continued growth across the business, this is a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant looking to step into a supportive, well-structured firm offering exposure across client work, compliance, and supervision. Our client is a well-established firm based in Melbourne, with approximately 50 staff across Melbourne, Queensland, and offshore teams. The Melbourne office is the largest and operates as a close-knit, long-standing team with strong retention and a genuinely supportive culture. THE ROLE You will support client portfolio delivery, assist with compliance work, and play a key role in reviewing and mentoring junior accountants. This is a hands-on role with exposure across tax, accounting, and advisory tasks. Key responsibilities: Assist with the management of client portfolios Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, BAS & IAS Support Directors with client delivery and workflow management Review work and provide feedback where required Assist with compliance across a range of SME clients Work across accounting, tax and general compliance matters Identify issues and support practical client solutions Contribute to improving internal processes and efficiency Provide occasional support to junior team members Ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met ABOUT YOU 4–5 years experience in Australian public practice Confident reviewing work Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset Comfortable working across multiple client files CA or CPA qualified (or near completion) preferred Experience with SME clients highly regarded Proactive and willing to support junior staff when needed WHAT’S ON OFFER Flexible working hours (7:30am – 9:00am start options) 1 WFH day per week (Wednesday or Thursday) Quarterly team events and social activities Additional Pubic Holiday Internal training Employee Assistance Program
