Overview The Department of Medicine is seeking a proactive and highly organised Executive Assistant to the Nursing Director - Acute Medicine at Launceston General Hospital.
You will provide executive-level support to enable the Nursing Director to focus on strategic and operational priorities while ensuring safe, high-quality care to the Tasmanian community.
Responsibilities Provide direct administrative, clerical, reception, and secretarial support to the Nursing Director - Acute Medicine, including preparation of confidential documents, correspondence, submissions, and reports.Assist with development, maintenance, and monitoring of effective communication systems, ensuring timely flow of information to and from the Department of Medicine for internal and external customers of Launceston General Hospital.Coordinate and assist in the production of complex documentation; undertake research for Ministerial and Question Time Briefs; prepare background notes and information relating to the Department of Medicine's activities.Schedule meetings, videoconferences, and appointments; prepare agenda papers and take minutes/notetaking as required.
Qualifications Desirable: Qualifications recognised at Certificate III or IV in Administration and/or Business; or equivalent.
Details of appointment Permanent full time, day worker, 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.
Hours negotiable with successful applicant.

Salary and benefits Salary: $73,811 - $79,779 per annum.
12% employer superannuation on top of this amount.
