Offer description

Join a team that's redefining youth mental health

Be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team at headspace Early Psychosis Canberra, dedicated to early intervention and recovery-focused care for young people aged 12-25 experiencing or at high risk of psychosis.

About the role

* Be part of our Continuing Care Team as a Clinician.
* Full-time opportunity (76 hours per fortnight).
* Based at headspace Canberra in Lyneham.
* HPA Level 2; $46.23 - $53.03 per hour (commensurate with experience) plus salary packaging up to $18,500pa and other benefits.

About the program

headspace Early Psychosis is a nationally recognised leader in youth mental health. Our service operates under the Orygen EPPIC model, ensuring young people receive high-quality and evidence-based early intervention.

Our program is structured into three core teams, working together to support young people at different stages of their recovery journey:

* Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT)
* Continuing Care Team (CCT)
* Functional Recovery Team (FRT)

As a Clinician in the Continuing Care Team, you will provide holistic and wrap-around support to young people who have experienced their first episode of early psychosis. You will be allocated individual young people to offer long-term care, helping them access necessary medical, psychological, and social supports.

At headspace Early Psychosis, we invest in our team through extensive training and professional development in the early psychosis model and therapeutic interventions. You'll work within a shared-care model, meaning you'll have a dedicated caseload while benefiting from a highly collaborative multidisciplinary team environment that ensures comprehensive support for every young person.

About you in the role

* Provide ongoing clinical care to young people, focusing on early intervention and reducing the duration of untreated psychosis.
* Support young people in setting and achieving recovery goals, including symptom and stress management.
* Address co-occurring challenges through tailored planning and interventions.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and complete administrative tasks.
* Participate in weekly team and clinical review meetings, monthly business meetings, and bi-monthly team gatherings.
* Engage in regular clinical supervision.

About you

* Approved tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and provisional or full AHPRA registration (or registration with an appropriate professional body).
* Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic interventions and case management in a mental health setting.
* Experience in youth mental health or early psychosis (highly desirable).
* Flexibility to work on-site at headspace Canberra and some community-based work.
* A passion for providing person-centred, recovery-focused care to young people.
