Your New Opportunity:
A fantastic permanent full-time position is available for a Risk and Compliance Officer to become part of our experienced and collaborative in-house legal, risk, and compliance team at Wacol, Brisbane .
Responsibilities include:
* Offering both administrative and operational support to facilitate the Company’s risk and compliance frameworks.
* Contributing to the creation and upkeep of a company-wide risk and compliance program.
* Rolling out and preserving systems and processes that form the foundation of the Company’s risk and compliance initiative.
* Supporting the production and presentation of risk and compliance reports.
* Assisting with the development and implementation of training on risk and compliance for employees and stakeholders.
About you:
* Appropriate tertiary qualifications that support the requirements of the position. Formal qualifications in risk, compliance, law and/or insurance are advantageous but not essential.
* Experience working with a business to develop, implement and refine policies and procedures
* Experience with franchised business administration an advantage, but not essential
* Ability to navigate legislation and supporting literature
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills
* Effective relationship building and influencing skills
* Strong problem-solving capability with a proactive and resilient work ethos
* Self-motivated, goal oriented and willing to take ownership and responsibility for own actions
