Details: Venues Canberra manages the Territory's major venues of GIO Stadium Canberra, Corroboree Group Oval Manuka and Exhibition Park in Canberra. We are seeking an experienced officer to join the team to undertake safety and security responsibilities. Working within a small team, the successful applicant will assist in ensuring safe and secure events at all sites and will require the ability to respond quickly while using your communication skills to develop positive and effective relationships with a range of stakeholders. Knowledge and experience with WHS legislation and operational safety and the ability to demonstrate its application to a large business or crowded place is highly regarded.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
Essential:
* C Class driver’s license
* Availability to perform regular after hours, public holidays and weekend work to support booked events
Desirable:
* Certificate IV in Work, Health and Safety
* Possession of or the ability to acquire a first aid certificate
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for three months, with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application only.
