About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Central Queensland.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Mental Health and be able to deliver direct care to consumers with complex care needs. They will also ensure that clinical care is evidence-based and that consumers' rights are upheld.
The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, external referral sources, consumers and visitors to promote consumer focus and involvement.
They will provide shift coordination and leadership into the operations of the Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIU), ensuring that a high level of care is delivered to consumers.
The successful candidate will also identify and minimise risks to patients, employees, volunteers, visitors and the organisation.
* Degree-qualified Registered Nurse with current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Experience in Mental Health would be highly regarded.
* Strong clinical skills and knowledge, competence and experience within the scope of practice.
* Demonstrates collaborative teamwork and decision making, empathy, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Experience in Mental Health would be highly regarded.
* A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and promoting positive health outcomes.
