We're looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager who's ready to lead with impact - blending strategic insight, supplier partnerships and category expertise to ensure every ingredient tells a story of quality, sustainability and value.
You won't just manage suppliers - you'll shape the way our customers experience fresh, responsibly sourced food every week.
Please note this is a fixed-term contract maternity leave cover until the end of August 2025.
The Opportunity
As the category lead for fresh produce, you'll play a key role in keeping our ingredients top quality and our sourcing strategy strong.
You will:
- Lead your category with purpose - Maintain and deliver sourcing plans that balance quality, sustainability and commercial outcomes.
- Stay ahead of the market - Track seasonality, supply risks and pricing to keep us agile and competitive.
- Partner with our suppliers - Negotiate and manage relationships that deliver reliability and value.
- Collaborate across teams - Work with Culinary, Supply Chain, Finance and Quality to ensure every ingredient meets our promise.
- Drive efficiency - Manage spend, support tendering cycles and achieve COGS reduction targets.
- Embed sustainability - Champion environmental compliance and responsible sourcing.
- Support what's next - Partner with teams on NPD and product innovation to keep our menu exciting and fresh.
What we're looking for
You'll thrive in this role if you're someone who enjoys building relationships as much as you love negotiating a great deal. You're commercially sharp, deeply curious about market dynamics, and passionate about driving impact through strategic sourcing.
You'll bring:
- 5-7 years' experience in sourcing, category, or procurement management - ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing or retail
- Proven expertise in food ingredient procurement (Fresh Produce, Grocery, Food Service)
- Proven success in supplier negotiation, cost management, and contract execution
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into action
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to "read" the market
- Sound understanding of Commercial and Contract Law
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Bonus points if you have:
- Professional accreditation (e.g. CIPS)
- Exposure to sustainability or packaging initiatives
- Advanced Excel or data visualisation skills to support decision-making
