Your new company We are seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to join the Business Operations team located in Townsville.
The role involves supporting capital works procurement, contract management, scheduling, and general administration.
This position requires liaising with internal and external stakeholders to develop scope and requirements for procurements, approaching the market, evaluating procurements, and managing contracts through all stages.
Additionally, it involves project planning, contract scheduling, and other project management tasks.
Your new role Undertake procurements following Commonwealth procurement and contracting rules, in consultation with Finance and Legal departments.
Manage and administer contracts post-execution, ensuring delivery aligns with the Contract Management Framework.
Monitor program outcomes, analyze expenditure against budgets, report on contract performance, and prepare high-level advice and reports for executive audiences.
What you'll need to succeed Extensive knowledge and experience with construction and technical contracts.
Ability to solve complex problems and provide policy and procedural advice.
Experience with government procurement processes and contract management.
Proactive contract management skills, including managing time, expenditure, and functional requirements.
Meticulous attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of technical information.
Experience in managing internal and external stakeholders effectively.
