Description
Townsville University Hospital (TUH) is the major tertiary referral centre for northern Queensland, delivering specialist care to over 600,000 people. We're seeking an experienced Cardiologist with high level imaging expertise to join our expanding tertiary service.
This permanent full time role offers the opportunity to join a highly skilled Cardiac Services Unit. You'll provide specialist care across clinical cardiology, echocardiography across all modalities, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI. The role also includes teaching, research, service development and participation in outreach clinics across North Queensland.
TUH delivers comprehensive cardiac services, including 2 catheter labs, electrophysiology capability, ~1500 angiograms and 400 PCI annually, ~2500 echo studies, 500 cardiothoracic surgical cases, and dedicated CCU, ICU, Chest Pain and Heart Failure services.
You'll join a supportive team of 12 Cardiologists, 4 Cardiothoracic Surgeons and a strong trainee cohort. Attractive remuneration up to AUD $534,040 p.a. + benefits including relocation support.
