Our client is a highly regarded construction company delivering a range of civil and commercial projects across the state. With a strong project pipeline and a supportive, people-focused leadership team, an opportunity has arisen for a Safety Advisor to join their growing business.
Based in the Nowra office and reporting to the National Safety Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining high safety and compliance standards within a Head Contractor environment. Supporting construction teams across the South Coast, you will work closely with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to build strong relationships and promote a proactive, positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical safety advice and support to Project Managers and site teams.
* Build strong, collaborative relationships with project teams to drive safety outcomes.
* Support project teams in the use of HammerTech, including onboarding, inductions, and compliance tracking.
* Assist Site Managers during site establishment to ensure safety and compliance requirements are met.
* Coordinate and support monthly contract safety reporting.
* Coordinate, track, and support training and competency requirements across the team.
What We're Looking For
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or currently working towards)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar WHS role.
* Strong understanding of WHS legislation and relevant codes of practice.
* Confident communicator with proven experience engaging with clients and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in WHS systems and platforms.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
